The Department of Physiology, established in 2021,is situated on the 2nd floor of the Faculty Block at Government medical college, Ariyalur. Admitting 150 students annually, we adhere to the guidelines set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) with an ample number of faculty members. Our commitment extends to delivering comprehensive education aligned with the Competency – Based Medical Education (CBME) curriculum for first year MBBS students and paramedics.

In recognition of the evolving nature of the field, our classes are meticulously designed to impart fundamental concepts of Physiology in a comprehensible manner, emphasizing practical applications rather than overwhelming theory. Our well – equipped facilities cater to the educational needs of our students.

Practical sessions are strategically crafted to inspire students to develop essential medical examination skills, crucial for their lifelong careers. Our vision is to foster a learning environment that not only imparts knowledge but also instills a passion for continuous improvement in the dynamic field of Physiology
